Nobody wants to squeeze their mind to decide anything for themselves... They always want confirmations from outside...
They are scared to sit in a corner with nobody around and think. Because that little pause makes them realize what they actually are...And when they get to know that they really don't like themselves.
A person with quietness ( it is not at all related to peace and happiness ) at heart only can sit lonely and converse with his own self because they love themselves.
Everybody wants that someone decides for them or guide them.
The reason behind this tendency is that in future if they fail or get the outcome which is not expected then they have the reason to blame others ( those who have suggested them something to do ).
Though sometimes they will not go directly and tell that person that you are at blame but in their spirit they want to be secured and sure that they have not done any mistakes because they implemented another's suggestions and so they failed.
